Books to Read in Summer 2026

For Summer 2026, we invite you to discover a selection of the latest titles published by Johan & Levi:

  • Un fiume di ombre. Eadweard Muybridge, un fotografo nel selvaggio, tecnologico West, Rebecca Solnit: a book that goes beyond biography. The life of Eadweard Muybridge, a pioneer of photography in late nineteenth-century California, becomes a reflection on time, space and motion, written by a cult author.

  • Il design come attitudine, Alice Rawsthorn: a lens through which to view a changing world, where design becomes an agent of cultural and social transformation capable of addressing global challenges.

  • Pop Art, Lucy R. Lippard: an exploration of the energy and contradictions of the movement that most vividly embodied the spirit of the 1960s, leaving an enduring influence on the art that followed.

The Art Museum will be closed to the public for the summer break from Monday 3 to Thursday 27 August.
