Glimpses between Ancient and Contemporary

Guided Tours

Reserved for Middle and High Schools

An interdisciplinary guided tour to explore the themes, practices and processes of making art: the works of contemporary artists in the collection will be examined in order to trace through their gaze the relationships, both evident and subtle, that exist between the present and the past, the references to archaeology in today's works of art, and the links with memory and history. Works by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Luigi Ontani and Giulio Paolini will be the starting point to get to know different expressive languages and explore examples of the relationship between the ancient and the contemporary.
