The Etruscans are often said to have been the most religious of all peoples. This exhibition offers an exceptional opportunity to explore the themes of the sacred and the cult of water, while also drawing comparisons with the Veneti, another important Italic people who were in direct contact with the Etruscans along the River Po.
The artefacts on display come from remarkable sites such as Pyrgi, the port of Cerveteri, and San Casciano dei Bagni, a thermal site near Siena that is still being excavated and whose discoveries have attracted significant media attention in recent years.
