BookCity Milano 2026
Storia non convenzionale delle donne di Grecia by Laura Pepe

To mark BookCity Milano 2026, the Fondazione Luigi Rovati presents a programme of talks exploring art, literature and history, featuring Edmund de Waal, Jan Brokken, Francesco Vezzoli, Laura Pepe and Dario Biagi.

On Saturday 28 November at 11.30 am, Laura Pepe presents Storia non convenzionale delle donne di Grecia, Editori Laterza, in conversation with Stefania Andreoli. A lecturer in Roman and ancient Greek law at the University of Milan, Pepe re-examines the lives of women in ancient Greece through laws, myths and historical accounts. The resulting picture moves beyond the image of women as silent figures confined to the domestic sphere, revealing the complexity of their experiences and their role in society.

Admission to the talks is free. Booking is recommended.
Tickets for the talks do not include admission to the Art Museum.
Recordings of the talks will be published on the Fondazione’s YouTube channel.
