To mark BookCity Milano 2026, the Fondazione Luigi Rovati presents a programme of talks exploring art, literature and history, featuring Edmund de Waal, Jan Brokken, Francesco Vezzoli, Laura Pepe and Dario Biagi.

On Friday 27 November at 6 pm, Francesco Vezzoli joins Donatien Grau in conversation about Victoria Mater. L’idolo e l’icona, Allemandi, the catalogue of the site-specific installation staged in the eastern hall of the Capitolium at Brixia. Archaeological Park of Roman Brescia from 4 December 2025 to 12 April 2026. Curated by Grau, the project brought Brescia’s Winged Victory into dialogue with the Idolino of Pesaro, on exceptional loan from the National Archaeological Museum in Florence. Vezzoli’s intervention juxtaposes two icons of classical antiquity, with different functions, iconographies and histories, inviting reflection on time, memory and the symbolic significance of the ancient legacy today.

Admission to the talks is free. Booking is recommended.
Tickets for the talks do not include admission to the Art Museum.
Recordings of the talks will be published on the Fondazione’s YouTube channel.
