Etruscans and Veneti: Cultures and Sacred Rituals

From October 14, 2026

Guided Visit with Workshop

Lower and Upper Secondary Schools

The exhibition offers an exceptional opportunity to explore the religion of the Etruscans, remembered as the most religious of all peoples, and that of the Veneti, another important people of ancient Italy, who bordered the Etruscans along the River Po and adopted writing from them.

Through the artefacts on display, we investigate sacred rites and cults connected with water. The workshop allows participants to experience firsthand how archaeology is not only about discovering places and treasures, but also about reconstructing ancient gestures and ritual practices: they create a votive dedication to a deity, experimenting with the formulas and forms of expression that characterized communication with the sacred in the ancient world.
