Diego Cibelli: the alchemy of porcelain
One year after the presentation at the Museum of Art of the site-specific project by Diego Cibelli, Una vita all’aria aperta (September 2025), Fondazione Luigi Rovati hosts a conversation between the artist and Sylvain Bellenger, Director Emeritus of the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte, moderated by Giovanna Forlanelli, President of Fondazione Luigi Rovati.
Â
At the center of the conversation—and of the recently published volume—is the original intervention created for the Museum of Art of Fondazione Luigi Rovati, where the works inhabit three spaces: the palace atrium, with four masks inspired by Etruscan forms; the entrance hall of the Piano Nobile, where four figures with ancient features move in a circular dance, suspended in mid-air, while on the wall a pair of birds stretches outward; and the large façade overlooking the garden, animated by reliefs of anthropomorphic figures, animals, and floral elements.
