The Castellanis: a family story

Art Pavilion

From October 18, the Art Pavilion is hosting a preview of the major exhibition Etruscan Treasures. The Castellani collection between history and fashion.

Through a timeline, the history of the Castellani family is told: from 1794, with the birth of the founder Fortunato Pio, to the first decades of the 20th century, with the closure of the goldsmith's workshop and the donation of the family collections to the Capitoline Museums and the Villa Giulia Museum. The Castellani family, great Roman goldsmiths, collectors and dealers of antiquities, were protagonists of the season of Italian and international collecting, launching with their goldsmith store, the fashion of antique jewelry.
