Skilled Craftsmen and Precious Jewellery

Workshop for Children

The Etruscans were extraordinary craftsmen, skilful sailors and skilled merchants: they developed a refined, luxury-loving culture also thanks to their contacts with the rich civilisations of the Near East and exported the objects they produced to territories far away from their homelands. Fibulae, armillas and necklaces, as well as numerous other refined and precious objects, produced in Etruscan workshops and later worn by the aristocracy, tell the story of Etruscan society, contacts with other peoples and inspire the production of small jewellery.
