The World Upside Down: Journey into Etruscan Civilisation
Guided Tours
Reserved for Schools of all grade levels
The visit will focus on the Hypogeum Floor of the Art Museum in an itinerary that will allow visitors to learn about some of the characteristic aspects of Etruscan civilisation, from the organisation of cities to the ways of living, from the relationship between man and nature to that between man and divinity, from society to writing. You will learn how the grave goods deposited in tombs also tell the story of everyday life, learning to interpret material, iconographic and written sources like archaeologists do. Small focuses on contemporary works of art in dialogue with Etruscan objects will help to bring that ancient civilisation back to the present.
