Alongside OASES

Fondazione Luigi Rovati supports OASES (Organisation for the Advancement and Support of Emergency Systems), a project developed by a team of healthcare professionals and researchers in collaboration with the University of Milan-Bicocca to improve emergency care in the so-called health deserts, remote regions where the lack of hospital facilities and specialised healthcare personnel limits access to timely and quality medical care.

The pilot implementation of the project will take place at the Dr. Ambrosoli Memorial Hospital in Kalongo, a 286-bed referral hospital located in a rural and isolated area in Northern Uganda.

The funds raised for the OASES project will allow for the development of the app and to train and equip healthcare personnel working in emergency-emergency settings in remote and rural areas with digital tools.
