Fondazione Luigi Rovati promotes technological research as a strategic lever for rethinking the cultural experience in a contemporary and integrated way.
The solutions developed combine design, sustainability, and digitalization, transforming the museum space into an immersive and relational environment, where the dialogue between visitor and cultural heritage is constantly renewed. The information technology infrastructure supports and enhances the exhibition vision, integrating digital systems and sustainable energy solutions within a unified design approach.
The Foundation has developed an integrated digital platform that unifies content and information, offering advanced functionalities both for museum governance and for the visitor experience.
Among the most innovative tools: the geolocated audio guide, based on an indoor positioning system, which allows visitors to automatically access audio content as they move through the exhibition spaces. This mobile platform is complemented by Bloomberg Connects: the Fondazione Luigi Rovati is the first cultural institution in Milan and among the first in Italy to join this free digital guide app, which brings together some of the world’s leading cultural institutions.
The app expands and enriches the visitor experience, offering exclusive content such as exhibition insights, video guides, photo galleries, and thematic itineraries curated by the Foundation’s scientific team.
In parallel, the interconnected back-office system enables museum staff to monitor visitor flows. This information is a fundamental resource for guiding museum programming, refining the offering, and improving the effectiveness of communication.
A constantly active customer satisfaction analysis tool is the interactive totem, which collects data on visitor behavior, interests, and feedback, with flexible content adaptable over time according to the evolving objectives of the Foundation.
Through this structured and interconnected infrastructure, the Foundation creates an intelligent cultural ecosystem, capable of integrating art, technology, and participation.
