Peter Pan
Peter Pan, the “boy who wouldn’t grow up,” was born from the imagination of Scottish writer James Matthew Barrie.
The first book officially dedicated to the character, published at Christmas in 1906, immediately captivated readers of all ages, becoming one of the major publishing successes of its time. Barrie expanded this imaginative universe through three books and a celebrated stage play—first performed on 27 December 1904—bringing to life fantastical worlds inhabited by flying children, radiant fairies and adventurous pirates.
