MuseoCity 2026

Fondazione Luigi Rovati takes part in MuseoCity, the event promoted by the City of Milan in collaboration with the Associazione MuseoCity ETS, which opens the doors of public and private museums, artists’ archives, house museums, art foundations and corporate museums.

With this aim, Fondazione Luigi Rovati offers two guided tours of the exhibition I Giochi Olimpici™. Una storia lunga tremila anni, organised on the occasion of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

On Sunday 1 March at 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, the cultural mediators of the Art Museum will accompany visitors through the exhibition, where the ancient and contemporary worlds intertwine to show how the Olympic ideal has crossed the centuries while remaining faithful to its founding values. Structured into five thematic sections, the exhibition creates an unusual dialogue between ancient artefacts and objects belonging to the modern Olympic Games, revealing the connections between sport, art and spirituality.
